The Bambird Scramble is a flexible, ladder-style mahjong league designed to help you play more, meet new people, and compete on your own schedule. There is no set venue, day, or time. Players propose or accept matches through an easy online portal, then meet at local coffee shops, wine bars, libraries, cafes, or wherever works best.
Summer season runs from June 8 to August 9, with the portal opening June 4 so players can begin proposing matches and connecting early. And don’t worry — it’s never too late to join! Players may register after the season begins and jump right into the fun.
Play as much as you want! Each week, your top 2 submitted scores count toward the leaderboard, so the more you mahj, the more chances you have to move up. The portal handles scheduling, reminders, score tracking, and rankings, making it simple to connect and compete.
All levels are welcome, from newer players to seasoned regulars. Come for the mahjong, stay for the new friends, friendly competition, and Mahj Merch prizes.
